A'quin is a ray of sunshine, always seen with a smile, always happy and cheerful. He loves meeting people and talking to them, hearing what they say, learning from them and simply basking in their presence. Despite his cheery nature though, he is quietly self-depreciating, believing himself not worth as much as most others.

Backstory

Born into the Garlean occupation of Ala Mhigo, he essentially lost the lottery of his tribe. In an effort to make nice with the occupiers, they attempted to indulge the Garleans, to integrate their technology with themselves, and offer a young tribe member to learn their ways and offer aid, all in an attempt to ingratiate themselves to the Empire. A’quin didn’t spend his youth hunting or stalking like his kin, he spent it tinkering with Magiteck and helping the Garleans with salvage. Despite himself, A’quin showed a knack for it, a spirit of never giving up, and soon he’d become a rather welcomed sight to the local engineers. He had an agility and finesse they lacked, so he was able to do some of the more delicate work for them.On a Salvage mission, he stumbled across a trove of Magiteck that looked to have been protected. For his find, he was given an old rifle that would become one of his prized possessions. Through the years he’s tinkered with it; little of the original rifle remains now, but it still bares the same rough shape, and he still considers it that same rifle. His first true reward that was uniquely his.When change came, A’quin wasn’t able to adjust to it. The Garleans were forced from the occupied land, and the peoples freed from their tyranny. His tribe, no longer needing to prove their worth, removed any trace of Garlean culture that had leaked in, and that included all their machines. Unable to adjust to suddenly losing the only thing he'd known, A’quin was banished from his tribe, treated as a leaper and forced to leave; though he would always insist to others he chose to leave, as it’s less upsetting.Finding his way to Gridania, A’quin has found a small place to call home, close enough to Baelsar’s wall that he can slip back towards the old Castrums and continue to salvage when he can; afterall it’s the only life he knows.

OOCly you can call me Sarto.I’m from the UK, so I usually keep EU times, but I also work shifts, including nights, so sometimes my timezone is a bit fucky. Because of this, I tend to prefer to RP over Discord, though I’m more than happy to find common times to meet up in-game.I’m over 21 and I’ll only write with people whom are likewise over 21.For RP I have four main rules. No IC/OOC bleed. Communication is King. No God-modding or controlling of one another’s character. Consent is also King (He and Communication are married and rule side by side happily)
I suffer from ADHD, Depression and Anxiety, which makes me feel like reaching out to people is pestering, and I can also be rather forgetful. On the other hand, I adore people reaching out to me and reminding me of things, so please know I’m always open and love to be approached.
